KLR Announces Leadership Transition

 

Alan Litwin will step aside as Managing Director and CEO

and Paul Oliveira will succeed him as Chief Executive Officer.

 

 

New England, KLR announced today that after 40 years, Alan H. Litwin, Managing Director and CEO, will be stepping aside as Managing Director at the end of 2022. He will continue a role with the company, working on strategic opportunities and assisting firm leadership with the overall direction of the business. The Shareholders have elected Paul Oliveira, CPA, as Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2023.

Paul Oliveira added, “Alan has been a tireless advocate for driving improvement in the business. KLR is stronger today because of Alan’s dedication and leadership. KLR is well positioned to continue to deliver value for our clients and develop strong career paths for our colleagues. I look forward to working with Alan and senior leadership on this transition and I am honored to continue to build on KLR’s success.”

A steadfast and strategic leader, Alan has guided KLR since 1983. During his tenure, he played a significant role in transforming KLR from a two-person accounting and tax firm to a global business advisory group generating significant gross revenue growth across six offices (including an international office in Switzerland). Alan has been instrumental in the evolution of KLR and the Firm’s growth strategy including many acquisitions and the development of market leading services that our clients need. Alan was also responsible for guiding and mentoring many colleagues on building successful career paths within KLR and in the business community.

 

Alan was greatly involved with all new business enterprises including the formation of KLR’s affiliate companies, KLR Executive Search Group, KLR Outsourcing, Envision Technology Advisors, and KLR Wealth Management.  He was at the helm for the adoption and growth of the Firm’s unique practice areas such as Cyber Security, Emerging and Startup, Transaction Advisory, Private Client Services, and International Tax.

 

 

Alan’s community service is legendary. He has given his time, resources, and guidance to charitable and business concerns that affect KLR, our clients and the community at large. Alan is also a resource to state and national business and political leaders about the impact legislation has on businesses, business owners and the public. He looks forward to continuing to do so, as well as volunteering with several charitable and business organizations.
