A Summary of the 2024 European Regional Conference
On April 17-19, 2024, LEA Global held its 2024 European Regional Conference in Prague, Czechia. Our venue of choice was the marvelous Hotel Marriott, Prague and our conference theme was "Reimagine Now."
More than 120 attendees came together for collaboration, learning, and inspiration.
Tom Palmaerts, from Trendwolves, delivered a thought-provoking keynote session on “Developing Firm Culture: Managing Dispersed Teams and Generational Impact on These Themes." Tom also facilitated interactive roundtable discussions with members focused on Talent Management Strategy, Talent Mobility, and Innovation and Technology.
During these roundtables, he shared insights on the major trends and technologies disrupting the accounting profession and how to foster a collaboration mindset in cross-team hybrid/remote workforces for streamlined success.
Jeff Benveniste, from Global Edge, delivered a lively and interactive session about how to cultivate a business development mindset. Jeff shared tips and insights and explored best practices in the leveraging of networks and a growth mindset.
Tony Szepaniak, CEO of LEA Global, provided an overview of what had been achieved in the region in 2023 and shared an overview of our association's values, core pillars, key initiatives, and opportunities.
Resource centre updates
Global Consulting Marketplace: Members heard from Adam Klein of Bennett Thrasher, and Hannelore Durieu of Vandelanotte. The GCM is designed to provide member firms access to specialised consulting services and expertise within the alliance and provides the opportunity to extend client relationships and identify new revenue-generating opportunities.
Country Desks – European Focus: Members heard an overview from Ronan McGivern of RBK. This new initiative is designed to be a one-stop shop for members to find resources regionally and globally throughout the alliance.
The I-TAX group held a session on Day 1 of the conference. The final day of this year’s conference was dedicated to collaboration groups: Managing Partners, Audit & Assurance, HR Marketing & Comms; VAT, Young Professionals, Global Mobility, and Tech & Innovation.
Members gathered for an unforgettable evening dinner at the Martinicky Palace in the heart of Prague. As you know, fun is one of our key values, and rest assured, fun was had by all!
This year's conference had many young professionals in attendance, which provided enormous learning opportunities, sharing of perspectives and expertise, collaboration, and networking.
